The Palace of the Captains of Palazzuolo, built at the end of the fourteenth century, on its façade houses many coats of arms belonging to the Capitani del Popolo that in the Municipality had jurisdiction. To date, the interior of the Palace houses the Archaeological Museum and the Museum of Rural Civilization and Mountain People.
The Archaeological Museum, coordinated by the Archaeological Group of Alto Mugello in collaboration with the Superintendent of Archaeological Heritage of Tuscany, is part of the widespread museum system of Mugello. Its spaces serve to witness the ancient past of the territory. The Museo della Civiltà Contadina e delle Genti di Montagnadeals with telling the territory and the history of the mountain community with its difficult path of survival.
