To reach the Rupe dei Cozzi you start from the entrance to the Terme di Castrocaro and continue towards Piazza Mazzini. Then it is necessary to continue along Via delle Sorgenti and Via Rio Cozzi, where you go along the Rio Piano stream. After about 1500 meters, turn right and start the country road that leads to the Rupe dei Cozzi. La Rupe is a high wall formed by a characteristic rock that takes the name of “Sasso Spicco”. The boulder has been indicated by the C.A.I. of Forlì as a rock gym. After coming to the Rupe, a short detour to the right is recommended, to continue on the dirt road that leads to the Bolga lakes where you can admire a pleasant landscape. The Bolga lakes are the origin of the salt water that, through underground pipelines, are conveyed to the thermal establishments.
The route is about 6.8 km long and the environment is mainly composed of the bottom of the valley, valley and coast.
The stages of the route are as follows: Castrocaro Terme – Rupe dei Cozzi – Valle di Mezzo – Pergola – Via Bagnolo – Castrocaro Terme.
