From the center of Castrocaro, crossing the vineyards, you can enter the suggestive valley of the Rio Cozzi and arrive up to an unsuspected cliff. It is the Rupe dei Cozzi, a high cliff overlooking the surrounding area from which emerges a rock that takes the name of ‘Sasso Spicco’.
The layers of this wall have always aroused great interest among geologists for the fossil sedimentation of which it is composed. La Rupe dei Cozzi has been awarded as a rock gym according to the decision of C.A.I. of Forlì.
