The route is a bit ‘challenging for the long climb, but the show is unique: through the picturesque views of the Casentino Forest Park around the village of Premilcuore, you reach the wonder of the Screaming Cave, an inlet carved into the rock over the centuries.
The scream of the water that is thrown into the void is unique and absolutely to be seen. The cave is crowned by a donkey-backed bridge and an ancient fulling mill, used in the past for the fulling of woolen fabrics.
The itinerary is a continuous discovery, through the beauty of this wild stretch of nature in the heart of the Casentino Forests; to reach the waterfalls, you follow an ancient ridge path once beaten by robbers and smugglers.
Along the river from Premilcuore meet natural green pools until you get to the picturesque double waterfall of Sega and Seghina.
