Pieve di San Giovanni Battista Decollato is situated in the locality of Cornacchiaia, along the important medieval street of Sant’Agata. The property was built following the typical pattern of Romanesque architecture and structural similarities can be seen with the parish of Sant’Agata, located on the other side of the Apennines.
The Church has three naves and an apse Terminal, filaretti of stone and a main door decorated. Inside there are frescoes of the early 20th century, and on the right wall is a decorative motif made of marble and serpentine green checkerboard inlay and white marble.
