The remains of the ancient Roman Forum of Sarsina, is accessed by an underpass which is located on the north side of Plautus.
Among the many finds of this site are of great quality of slabs in veronese marble dating from the 1st century BC. Also near the excavation on the Forum, you may notice the crater of a furnace used to produce lime. This forensic facility was the seat of important public offices and worship: bear witness to this important relics such as a votive with bronzes discovered on the shorter side of the hole and the statue of Oriental deities found in shattered.
