The Chiesa di San Michele in Trebbana located in the municipality of Marradi, on the border with Tredozio, is an ancient building originally owned by the bishops of Faenza until, in the year 1063, it was donated to San Pier Damiani for the hermits of Gamogna. The hermitage, together with the Gamogna monastery, has always been part of the Pieve di San Valentino, composed of more than twenty parish churches that were important points of reference for both the social and religious life of the Tredozio and Modigliana valleys.
In the surroundings of the church stands a centuries-old oak tree of imposing size, the trunk measures 4.75 m. circumference, which is also indicated in cadastral maps and military maps.
