LOCAL SPECIALITIES

The territory of Romagna Tuscany offers to the palates of visitors delicacies and tasty specialties, ranging from pasta dishes to desserts. In the area covered by the 15 municipalities of the area there are several Slow Food Presidia, which support the typical local productions, such as “Raviggiolo” cheese, Tortra alla Lastra, or first courses with Strigoli, a characteristic herb of these lands.

Other specialties are the truffle, which is celebrated in Dovadola with a prestigious Sagra, now in its fiftieth edition, and the Bartolaccio, similar to watercress, to which another festival is dedicated that takes place in Tredozio, the first two Sundays in November.

On the oenological side, Romagna Toscana can boast the superior Sangiovese Modigliana DOC, elegant and austere, which can be tasted in one of the many wineries in the area.

Castrocaro Terme and Terra del Sole are also rich in farms, mills and cellars, which offer DOC wines and extra virgin olive oils, which can be tasted in the farms that are part of the Wine and Flavors of the Hills of Forli and Cesena.
