Parco delle Foreste Casentinesi

More than 30,000 hectares of beauty

The Parco delle Foreste Casentinesi extends across the Apennines to more than 30,000 acres. The highest peak is the Monte Falco while the lower the Valle del Bidente. Environmental protection within the National Park of the casentino forests allowed to preserve a wide variety of wildlife whose development has been favoured by the excellent state of preservation of diverse environments among them.

In addition, there are many sites to see in this beautiful area: the waterfall of Acquacheta, the sanctuaries of Camaldoli and la Verna, the forest of Campigna, the Grand Ducal Palace and monte Falterona are just a few of the places that deserve to be known. The Park also includes several small villages, rich in history and considerable artistic and architectural remains.
