The Palace was built on commission of the Razzi family at the end of 1500 but, for economic reasons, the Torriani family took over the possession of the palace. This family, originally from Milan, in about 1650 finished the construction of the majestic palace where he still lives.
On the large entrance door is placed the elegant coat of arms of the Torriani, made of sandstone and depicting a tower and two lions. The interior of the palace preserves a fine Art Nouveau decoration by Galileo Chini dating back to the early 20th century, and a painting by Silvestro Lega. Despite the usury and the vicissitudes linked to the Second World War, Palazzo Torriani has now returned to its former glory thanks to the restoration works that have transformed the building into an elegant period residence.
