The route to get to Lozzole leaves at the entrance to the CAI trail 529, not far from Marradi.
Here begins the route that, crossing woods and streams and leaving behind the beautiful Villa di Stabbia, leads to the Abbazia di Lozzole. The Church, dedicated to San Bartolomeo, originally had to be a Vallombrosian hermitage and today, after having been subjected to a careful restoration, it has returned to the fascination of the past.
Lozzole is a small village formed by a few buildings and is located on a long and round mountain summit that acts as a watershed between the valleys of the Senio and Lamone rivers.
