Meetings, conferences, round tables. At the start, Friday, October 8 in Castrocaro Terme e Terra del Sole, the first edition of the Sustainable Tourism Festival, which will be held in the heart of a territory full of history and tradition such as Romagna Toscana. A geographical area historically determined, straddling the Apennines, with an ancient identity, today pride and virtuous example of a new tourism possible: integrated, ecological and excellence.
Two weeks of events and debates, from Friday 8 to Sunday 24 October, on the theme of sustainable tourism, addressed along a series of events, some open to the public, others dedicated to the world of trade, with the participation of industry professionals and figures from the institutional, political and economic world.
Territorial and social sustainability even more than economic, eco-sustainability, tourism based on the person, slow tourism, or slow that say, integration of the tourist system with the socio-cultural characteristics of the resident populations.
These are some of the key concepts expressed by a Festival that aims to address a broad and delicate theme starting from a specific and concrete reality: that of Romagna Toscana, a real “land of stories”, whose peculiarities, whose unspoilt scenery, whose ancient itineraries and whose landscape, cultural and food and wine excellences will be the example and starting point for a 360º reflection that looks to the future of the national tourism sector.
