The church, built in 1692, was consecrated to San Francesco Saverio at the behest of Pier Filippo Corbizi of Castrocaro. Deconsecrated then in 1887 it was used for various uses, and finally restored and dedicated to the military and civilian fallen in the late ’50s.
The bas-relief placed on the altar and executed by Prof. Angelo Biancini, pays tribute to the victims perished in armed conflicts. The interior decorations and the painting of Santa Giovanna d’Arco, on the other hand, are the work of the forlì painter Mario Pesarini.
