In 1932 he established Don Giovanni Verità Museum (1807-1885) in the House where the famous priest and patriot of the Italian Risorgimento. Here, in the summer of 1849, was given hospitality to Giuseppe Garibaldi during his escape.
The Museum is organized into different categories, at the ground floor there is a section dedicated to the risorgimento and includes documents belonging to Don Truth. Is open to visitors even what was the priest’s bedroom where they placed two valuable paintings of the painter modiglianese Silvestro Lega: Portrait of Garibaldi and Don Giovanni Verità. At the upper floor there is an exhibition on resistance: there are numerous documents, images related to partisan activity in the area of Modigliana. An archaeological collection, however, is staged at the cellars of the House-Museum, where exhibits ranging from the bronze age to the Roman period.
