The bridge is located in the village of Giumella and in past times was known as the “Ponte a scanno”.
Its construction is dated around 1600 and was designed to be able to cross the fiume Rabbi. It consists of a single arch of 16 meters above a River Gorge, known as “la cave shrieking,” where the waters rushing uproarious. One of the top of the bridge was built in an old fulling mill where, at one time, we were working the wool and woolen cloths that after a specific treatment, were placed to dry on rustic balconies which are still visible.
