“Dolciaria Rocca” Chocolate and Easter eggs

It was 1940 and a young man with great spirit of adventure and courage, Domenico Valentini, sold the ice cream he produced in the village festivals. Together with his wife he began to produce chocolate in a basement, using old machinery purchased on occasion. This is how the first chocolate factory in Romagna was born.
With his old van Domenico traveled from north to south Italy and returned to Rocca San Casciano only when all the production had been sold. Since those days, for three generations, the production of chocolate has never stopped.
In 2021 the activity was taken over by the company Proxima s.r.l. The range of products is enriched every day with new sweets that are born from the artisanal recipes that Domenico has handed down. Among the artisan products stand out: nougat, chocolate bars, cremini and the famous Easter eggs.
