Castrocarino Bread

The bread has always kept a thousand-year tradition, full of symbolism. There are testimonies on this food since the dawn of human history, when the grains were softened with water, but the first real bread making goes back to the Egyptian people.

Going beyond the idea that this is a simple food, which is obtained by mixing water and flour, left more or less to rise, then baked, it will be possible to discover the many values and traditions that bread brings with it and that exceed the its being food. Bread is something else and besides the body, it also feeds the spirit

Castrocaro Terme, among the various gastronomic traditions, also includes a typical bread, the Pane Castrocarino , which since March 10, 2011 has been included in the national list of traditional agri-food products. The recipe for this well-defined quality has well over 100 years of life and the basic ingredients are local wheat flour, Castrocaro water, yeast and salt. The processing is then made unique by the mastery of bakers, who churn out the tasty bread Castrocarino every day.

Pane Castrocarino can only be purchased in the Bakery and Confectionery of the Sun, in via F.lli Bandiera, 11 in Terra del Sole.
