The chiesa di Sant’Andrea Apostolo ad Alfero was designed to replace the old parish which was inconvenient, as it was too far from the center of the town.
It was 1961 when the construction of the new church was started and in August 1963 the building was consecrated. The decorated windows are enchanting, the work of an artisan firm in Florence. Of the structure of the previous church there are only two bells dated 1364 and 1474 respectively.
