Thermal Cycle Route, the stages
Recently inaugurated the thermal cycle path that connects Castrocaro to Bagno di Romagna, a path of 126 km through beautiful villages. Three suggestions: 4-day and 3-night tours, 3-day and 2-night tours and 2-day tours.
TOUR 4 DAYS, 3 NIGHTS
FROM CASTROCARO TO PREDAPPIO
Distance: 38 Km
Difficulty: Medium
It starts from Castrocaro Terme, with its famous spa and pavilion in perfect Art Deco style and two unique jewels, represented by the Medieval Fortress and the Medici “ideal citadel” of Terra del Sole. We continue arriving at Monte Paolo, where we cross the paths of Saint Anthony and the path of Assisi. The spiritual journey is completed by arriving at Dovadola, a village that preserves the remains of Blessed Benedetta Bianchi Porro. Continue on to Predappio.

FROM PREDAPPIO TO RIDRACOLI

Difficulty: Medium
Leaving the Rabbi’s valley we move towards the Bidente valley. We arrive at Galeata, which houses the Mambrini Museum and the Roman city of Mevaniola. Stop at the kiosk that offers a tasty Piadina Romagnola. We ride towards Sofia, the border between Romagna and Tuscany. The route leaves the town behind arriving in the heart of the National Park of the Casentino Forests, where we meet the Ridracoli Dam.
In a natural setting among the most fascinating in Italy, the dam is a work of advanced engineering, completed in 1982 after 13 years of study; an example of perfect integration between a work of man and the environment. The visit to the Ecomuseum Idro, completes our stop.

FROM RIDRACOLI TO BAGNO DI ROMAGNA

From the museum, going uphill along a wide forest road, you arrive at Passo del Vinco. Turning right, continue along the ridge, which offers breathtaking scenery. The simple dirt road arrives at the Cancellino. Turning right, we find the village of Badia Prataglia. We turn left, towards the Mandrioli pass.
A few kilometers from the Pass, heading towards Bagno di Romagna, we have two possibilities: continue along the paved road (easy route), or, for the more experienced, take the path of the Wolf that goes down to San Piero in Bagno, and then get to the spa town, final destination.

TOUR 2 DAYS, 1 NIGHT
Distance: 30 Km
Difficulty: Medium to Easy
It starts from Castrocaro with a guided tour of the medieval fortress. We then head towards the suggestive hermitage of Monte Paolo until beyond Dovadola, where we stop for a tasty lunch at Corte San Ruffillo. In the afternoon we learn the secrets of Master Luthier in his workshop in Dovadola and then return to Castrocaro and enjoy the thermal relaxation.

Departure for Castrocaro Terme River Park, where there is spungone. Continue towards Rio Cozzi, a geosite with spungone rock, and follow the route until you reach Monte Poggiolo, which is visible from the outside. Once in Terra del Sole you can have lunch at the Bar La Mora with typical local products. Then there is a guided tour of the “citadel”, the bastions, the casemates, the castles and the palaces of the Renaissance fortress city.

TOUR WITH TRANSFER FROM CASTROCARO

The cycle path of the spa between history and beauty of the territory

After the transfer you start from Galeata with the e-bike for a visit to S. Ellero and the Cippo del Partigiano, continue on the ridge to the mountain and then downhill to San Zeno. You arrive at the AGRITURISMO IL CERVO where you have lunch with typical products and battery charging.
After lunch we proceed to Santa Sofia where we can enjoy the famous homemade ice cream. You arrive in Pianetto for a guided tour of the Mambrini Museum. Return to Galeata. Dinner and overnight

RIDRACOLI DAM AND BLADE FOREST
Distance: 25 Km
Difficulty: Medium
After the transfer departure from Idro ecomuseo by e-bike and boarding on the electric boat at the Ridracoli dam.
Along the way the guide illustrates the territory and its beauties and you will make some stop to observe the species present in the forest and the landscape.
Arrived at the Lama, lunch break with local products provided by the organization. In the early afternoon return by e-bike along the mule track that leads back to the ecomuseum of Idro. Visit the museum and return home.
