Forno Verde Olmo
Verde Olmo is a project of agricultural and gastronomic revaluation of the Montone valley on the Forlì Apennines.
The desire is to produce good quality food in the territory, promoting sustainable supply chains for the environment and for the whole community.
The first step was to open a new bakery in Rocca San Casciano, in a historic oven in the center of the village. In the small oven every day we cook something tasty and genuine.
The bread is kneaded with sourdough throughout the day, left to rise overnight and cooked the following morning, to become, thus, after a long fermentation, more good, fragrant, digestible and storable.
The organic flours that we use in the Forno Verde Olmo come from local artisan mills and are kneaded in various forms of loaves, focaccia, delicious croissants and delicious cakes.
On summer weekends, the oven offers agri-aperitif. Local wines, accompanied by typical products, can be enjoyed in a unique setting. The oven overlooks the river Montone.
Closed on Sundays.
