The Romagna Toscana – Land of tales is an ancient Italian region that today, thanks to the commitment of the territories, takes back its historical value with its paths, cultural heritage, gastronomy and its thermal waters.
The president Liviana Zanetti highlights how it is a place that unites in a new system Via Emilia and the Apennines embracing 12 municipalities of Romagna and 3 of Tuscany: “A product made up for the first time by two regions, Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany, after having signed the memorandum of understanding aimed at sharing tourism policies for this territory twice.”
The result of European projects conducted by APT Servizi along the axis of the Apennines “that have allowed for the first time to see the Apennines as a hinge, not as an obstacle” says Roberta Moretti of APT Servizi.
“Now it’s time to take the last step; we are no longer spectators of a beautiful dream, the «Romagna Toscana» from today is not only a geographical border, but a tourist product in great growth and for this reason it’s time to feel all citizens of Romagna-Tuscany.” Said Liviana Zanetti president of the Romagna Tuscany.
The outgoing president, Marianna Tonellato, also stressed the importance of the project:
“We are no longer in the taillight of the Region in the tourist sector: from today we have all the elements to present ourselves to the tourist market with a product of great appeal, especially in the aftermath of the emergency Covid: open air, hiking and biking, nature, food and wine, history and culture are our main assets.
We are not in competition with the Riviera but complementary: we enrich the offer with something that was missing, the Tuscan Romagna Apennines, for domestic tourists but also foreign.
The brand Romagna Toscana is of strong appeal, the advertising campaign has already begun throughout the national territory and we are also ready for the tourist fairs of autumn/ winter.
We 15 administrators have believed and we have arranged everything, now it is up to citizens, tour operators and entrepreneurs to believe that we can increase the economic welfare of our territory with tourism. Tourism is an essential part of GDP: public and private must now march together. We need investments to increase the hospitable offer and services. We do not lack anything, we must have only foresight”.
